Anyway, this is us chillin’ in the tent. Jack has apparently been watching too much BET or something cause I’m not sure where the gang signs came from (probably Hailey). I’ll have to beat it out of him (and her) later.

I suppose it would be fun to be jobless as long as you were independently wealthy so you could do something with your free time, but when your whole existence revolves around looking for a new job, it gets old quick. It has been nice spending more time with my kids, but I think my wife is ready for me to go back to work (as am I). So until then, I’ll just keep looking and I suppose maybe I’ll follow the twins example and just DANCE!!!

It’s been a crazy couple years, but we made it to 2 years old. I know there have been more than a few days when Emily didn’t think she’d survive this long, but she does a great job maintaining sanity. I’m not sure I’d have handled it as well if I was the one home all day. But now is when the real fun begins. Two little people running around with opinions, desires, growing vocabularies and lots of personality. In the past 2 years they’ve learned to love being “ouside”, eating “sodie” (cereal), watching Pixar movies, playing with toys and getting into lots and lots of trouble. I never ceased to be amazed at the crazy ways they find to get into stuff and cause problems. However, for all the hard work and challenge they bring to our lives, we couldn’t imagine life without them. So in honor of the birthday kids, here’s a bunch of pictures that range from the day we brought em home from the hospital to last week. We love you Annie and Jack!

On Monday Jack was puking most of the day and you could tell he felt pretty crappy. And now today Emily and Annie are both feeling pretty rotton. I think I may also be coming down with whatever it is and as I sit here thinking how crappy it is to feel crappy, I can’t help but think how it must suck 100 times worse when you have no idea why you feel bad and you have no way of expressing how you feel. It’s never good for anyone to feel sick, but I feel extra bad for the twins cause they have no idea what’s going on and they can’t really explain what they’re feeling. You can tell it’s a bit scary for them any time they throw up. They get a scared/confused look on their face like “Help me! My insides are falling out!”. I just hope we all get over it soon cause being sick blows.

Now she is an old pro.  We hear "Stop it" all the time from our bossy little one. What kills me is that she puts her hands on her hips!  Jack’s first word came just this weekend.  I was going a little crazy this week. I had over booked myself everyday because I have a saying no problem. So I gave in and introduced the twins to the Teletubbies.  Annie can’t sit still long enough to enjoy them, but Jack has found something he really likes. Yikes! So yes, his first word is Teletubbie. He’s so funny. He gets so excited if he hears that word. He stops what he is doing and goes to the TV and turns it on.  Funny little guy.  He is walking now and gets embarrassed so easily. So maybe these crazy creatures will pull him out of his shyness.  There must be a good point to them!
