Mallory’s Mouth…

Posted by Mike on November 4th, 2009

So my first post back from my apparent blogging hiatus will be to show the nice gap in Mallory’s mouth. Recently, she started having a lot of mouth pain and we came to find out that it was because her bottom front teeth were coming in behind her baby teeth. It gave her a bit of a “shark” look for a few weeks, but we finally had to visit the dentist so that he could remove the baby teeth (they didn’t seem to want to come out on their own). Mallory did a great job at the dentist and in her own words she “…didn’t even cry!!”. Here’s the proof.

Pre-School Graduation

So I’m a slacker and haven’t posted anything for over a month, but I thought I’d say congratulations to Mallory on her pre-school graduation. She actually graduated on May 20th so I’m a bit late, but better late than never, right? Anyway, they had a fun performance for their graduation ceremony where they got to sing all the songs they learned for us parents. Then each of the kids got to go up to the front of the stage and receive their diploma in their caps.

Mallory is a very smart girl and she enjoyed pre-school. She can be a bit stubborn at times, but hopefully that will be to her advantage as she grows up. She’s very excited for kindergarten and I can’t believe she’s already 5.

Congratulations Mallory!!!

Happy Birthday Mallory!

I’ve been a bit of a failure at timely blogging lately, but this one is only 2 days late I guess. Anyway, happy birthday to our very own fairy princess. Lately Mallory has become quite enamored with Tinker Bell and the other Disney fairies. She likes to dress up like them and play with her Tinker Bell toys and she and Hailey like to play “fairies” and flutter around the house with their wands. The only bad thing about this is that Tinker Bell’s rather moody stubborn streak has seemed to rub off on Mally. Here’s to our strong willed little fairy princess. Happy Birthday Mal!

First Day of Pre-School

Well, Mallory started pre-school today. I never went to pre-school, but I remember that I was very nervous on my first day of kindergarten. Mallory, however, seemed not to be concerned in the least. She was excited to use her backpack and get to school to play with the other kids. I’m not sure if she gets her temperament from Papa, but she’s definitely a little fireball. According to the report I received from her when I got home, she apparently got to play with puzzles, read books and play outside today. And to top it off, they got some cookies for a snack. I just wish I still got to do those things every day.

The World at a stand still

Well, at least at our house.  And only in the world of blogging.  Unfortunately everything else is still speeding by. The blogging world is frozen because our computer broke. (I didn’t do it) And Mike put all the blogging shortcut that I know how to use on the computer and not the laptop.  So because fixing the computer is on  the list of broken stuff a little too far down, I am going to give a quick up date and have Mike add the pictures later!

Mallory finished up her soccer season.  She still asks everyday if she has soccer practice.  I think she really liked it.

The girls started  swimming lessons.  Hailey is a little nervous about it but she has hung in there.

The girls had their dance recital.  Hailey did a great job.  Mallory did a great job too!! This was a shock and a huge improvement from the Christmas recital when she jumped off the stage to me.IMG_2937

Jack and Annie had their 9 month check up.  Jack is a nice                    18 1/2 pounds and Annie is just over 17 pounds.  They are both doing great.   I think Annie is a little taller than Jack but is is hard to tell because getting them to stand still is impossible.  They are crawling everywhere….fast and pulling themselves up to everything.  They are even trying to stand alone and walk behind things. I was hoping this would come a lot later but it might be nice to have them walk instead of carrying them all the time. But the time has come at our house to once again baby proof.  The gate is up, the plugs are in, doors are shut, the blinds are raised,  and the third shelf is still not high enough. We find them everywhere.  In the house they are good to stick together and follow each other but outside they go separate ways!IMG_2975 IMG_2958

Places we have found Jack…..(Annie started crawling later so we had rearranged the house by then and she seems to have a little more reserve to situations!)

IMG_2871IMG_2867 IMG_2866IMG_2868 IMG_2858 IMG_2914 I did find Annie under my bed.  She likes to take the thighmaster under there to play.

Hailey got the Soaring Eagle award at school.  She had a list of things she had to pass off and present and she did a great job.  She memorize some pretty funny poems!  So now it is on to second grade.  She gets to go to the new school they built.  Falcon Ridge Elementary is about a 10 minute walk from our house.  If the neighbors house in front of us was not there, we would be able to see it from our front porch.  We are too spoiled!

Jessie and fam came for a visit at the end of May.  We had lots of fun.  We look forward to their next visit.  Hailey already has a few plans up her sleeve!
