A Momentous Occasion… (Part 2)

Posted by Mike on September 12th, 2007

So apparently Hailey doesn’t just have one loose tooth…

SHE HAS 2!

Today, while chomping on a cracker before dance class, she noticed that one of her top front teeth is also loose. So now, as she quite excitedly announced to me, she thinks she’s going to get two million-gazillion dollars.

I just hope the tooth fairy has the foresight to swing past Fort Knox before coming to pick up her teeth.

UPDATE!!!

Make that 3 loose teeth. Both of her top front teeth are now loose.

A Momentous Occasion…

So I was on my way home today when my cell phone rang. The fact that I heard it ring was a noteworthy event in itself, but I soon learned that this was no ordinary phone call…

I picked up the phone and said “Hello?”.

On the other end, in her rather quiet phone voice, Hailey said “Hi Dad.”

I immediately assumed that this was Hailey’s regular afternoon call to ask when I would be home, but she quickly broke into a story about eating an apple earlier in the day. I was trying to provide my full attention while trying not to die as I turned off Bangerter Highway near Jordon Landing, but even as I multi-tasked my way through the intersection I was able to understand the main point of her story.

“I’ve got a loose tooth Dad!”

In the picture above she’s trying to provide a good view of the offending incisor (your guess is as good as mine as to which one it is).

I can’t say that I remember my reaction to my first loose tooth but with many friends in the same boat at school, she’s rather excited to be part of an exclusive crowd. Although I think we’re going to need to straighten her out with regards to the tooth fairy. Unfortunately, I don’t think she’s going to get the million-gazillion dollars she’s apparently expecting.

New Features

So I added a couple new features to the page which you’re welcome to try out if you so desire. If for some reason you need to contact us (and for some odd reason don’t feel like using the phone), you can now send us an email on the new Contact Us page.

Alternatively, if you’d like to leave us a quick note, but don’t want to go through all the hassle of sending an email, you can now use the nifty little chat box over in the right-hand menu. Just enter your name and your message and like magic, it will appear in the little chat box (isn’t technology amazing).

Enjoy.

As of 7:40 am today, Emily and I upgraded to four children instead of just two. Jack and Annie joined us this morning with no complications and they are both doing very well. Most likely you’re here for the pictures though so I’ll try not to bore you with all the details. However, for those of you who do want to know, the vitals are as follows:

Annie Haymond
Born at 7:37 am
Weight: 5 lbs 11 ounces
Length: 18.5 inches

Jack Laursen Haymond
Born at 7:39 am
Weight: 5 lbs 15 ounces
Length: 19.5 inches

And now on to the pictures. Check back over the next few days for more details and pics.

Twins are a GO!!!

Posted by Mike on August 22nd, 2007

Well… it’s been a long 8 months or so for Emily. The last 2 months have obviously been a bit worse than the first 6, but the last 3 or 4 weeks have pretty much kicked her in the gut (terrible pun intended). However, we just got confirmation from the doctor this morning that we’re a go for delivery tomorrow morning. BOO-YAH!!

The picture to the right was taken about 2 weeks ago so as you can imagine, she’s ready to be done with the whole pregnancy thing. Over the last couple weeks the babies have made it pretty much impossible for her to sleep, or breathe, or sit comfortably or… the list goes on. But all that will soon be a thing of the past as our new family members join us on the outside tomorrow. Then the real work begins… =)

I’m not sure how the schedule will work out tomorrow or when I’ll be able to get a hardline into the matrix, but please check back tomorrow or Friday for updates and pictures of our new additions. I’ll try to get them up as soon as I have access to the interweb.
